Do you remember Good News Friday? Way back in January, in an effort to shift the January blues, MediaContact.ie came up with the idea of Good News Friday. The idea was that Good News Friday was to be a full day of press releases being distributed free of charge to Media Contact’s list of press contacts and the only catch was – it had to be positive news.
Here in Pivotal we decided to play a part in Good News Friday and at the same time doing our bit for the local environment. Our office is located on Percy Place in Dublin 2, right outside the door we have the Grand Canal and across the way we have Patrick Kavanagh permanently lounging at the canal’s edge. Though a pretty and picturesque part of Dublin, the area around the canal can sometimes be a little grubby and neglected looking. So here we pledged to get out the rubber gloves and the bin bags on Sunday 14 March and to clean up our corner of the canal. We had promised to “clean up, plant down and paint up the banks and surrounds of Percy Place canal between Northumberland Road at McKenny Bridge to Huband Bridge at Mount Street Crescent” so that is what we are going to do.
We are planning to start at 11 a.m. Sunday morning and hopefully it will be lots of fun as well as beneficial to the canal banks. If you’d like to help out or come and watch or take photos of us slogging away, please contact the lovely Mary on mary@pivotal.ie or give us a call on 01 6697684. We are just a couple of minutes walk from Merrion Square so if you are heading to the St. Patrick’s Fest’s Big Day Out please do pop by and say hello.
Oh and bring your mammy out with you – it is Mother’s Day after all
